SWEEPS Council

Back in the early 1980's, Presiding Bishop John Allen proposed a way of understanding the various areas of Church life.  He came up with the acronym "SWEEPS":  

SERVICE
WORSHIP
EDUCATION/FORMATION
EVANGELISM
PASTORAL CARE
STEWARDSHIP

On the second Sunday of every month, following Eucharist (and some coffee time), representatives of ministries in these SWEEPS categories gather in our parish office to brainstorm ideas, compare calendars, coordinate activities, etc.  Any member of the parish is welcome (encouraged) to attend!  It's a great place to bring new ideas, or just to find out what's going on!
