The General Convention of the Episcopal Church is our Church's national legislative body. It meets every 3 years, and will meet in Austin, TX from July 5-13. CAUTION: Do not necessarily believe everything you read or hear about General Convention in the secular media! They often get things wrong (e.g., I read repeatedly at the time of the Royal Wedding that Bishop Michael Curry was the first black bishop of the Episcopal Church - not true.)
