Does anyone know how to use a loom to make baby hats, such as the one pictured? Baby hats are included with the 120 baby blankets that are donated to St. Thomas Hospital yearly. Ten baby hats are needed monthly, 5 for girls and 5 for boys.
Our supply of baby hats will be exhausted soon that have been provided by Luella Bannister. Luella has moved and will be unable to make more.
Are there church ladies who might be willing to make the hats and is there anyone who might teach the ladies how to make them on a loom?
One may Google, "baby hats made on a loom" and watch several you tube videos that show the process.
Pictured below are 3 crocheted baby blankets made by Dhiana Clarice.
They will be added to the 120 baby blankets donated to St. Thomas More Hospital annually. We provide10 blankets each month; 5 for girls and 5 for boys. We include a variety of flannel, fleece, knitted and crochet blankets. We do have baby blankets made for distribution through December from the fabric purchased with Festival Fair contributions for this outreach misistry.
However, we have been blessed with donated fabric for 65 blankets and half of those are pinned and ready to sew. The remaining blanket sets are cut and matched by color in 1 yard pieces of cotton and flannel. Any of these may be taken home and sewn.
The next baby blanket making sewing day at the Parish Hall will be in January. (If we have funds from the festival fair for fabric purchase.)
